Cove makes DIY home security systems: a hub with a siren, a separate touchscreen alarm panel, door and window sensors, motion sensors and the Cove Connect app. Professional monitoring is a subscription, and the hub can fall back to a cellular link when it is not plugged into a router. The company is Cove Smart, LLC, based in the United States.

Yale is one of the oldest lock brands in the world and today part of Assa Abloy, with its North American smart lock business run by Fortune Brands Innovations. Its residential smart range centres on the Assure Lock 2 family, sold as keypad or touchscreen deadbolts in wired and key-free versions, plus the Approach and Linus lines. Connectivity is modular: the same lock body accepts Wi-Fi, Z-Wave, Matter or Apple Home Key modules, and everything is managed through the Yale Access app. In the UK and the rest of Europe, Assa Abloy also sells smart home alarm systems under the Yale name, through yalehome.co.uk: the Sync range (hub, siren, keypad and sensors, launched 2018, controlled through the Yale Smart Living app, no monthly fee but no professional monitoring) and the current Home Alarm range (Core Lite, Core and Core Plus Vision kits, controlled through the newer Yale Home app, sold with an optional Secure or Secure Pro monitoring plan).
