The Genie Company is an American garage door opener manufacturer founded in 1923 as the Alliance Manufacturing Company, which built its first opener under the Genie name in 1954 and has been a subsidiary of Overhead Door Corporation since 1994. Its residential and commercial range covers belt, chain, screw and wall mount drives, and the Aladdin Connect platform adds Wi-Fi monitoring and control with support for Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Amazon Key in-garage delivery. Genie also makes universal remotes, keypads and wall consoles compatible with other major opener brands.
