Kidde is an American fire safety manufacturer founded in 1917 and one of the largest makers of residential smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. Alongside its traditional hardwired and battery alarms it sells a connected range that adds Wi-Fi, app notifications and voice alerts, including combination units that also monitor indoor air quality and models that report into the Ring app. It also makes fire extinguishers, escape ladders and water leak and freeze detectors.

Levoit is the home environment brand of VeSync, covering air purifiers, humidifiers, tower fans and cordless vacuums. Its connected models run over Wi-Fi through the VeSync app, which handles auto mode, scheduling, live air quality readings and filter life tracking, and they work with Amazon Alexa and Google Home. Many of its purifiers carry AHAM Verifide and Energy Star certification, and the range is also reachable from Home Assistant through the VeSync integration.
