QNAP (Quality Network Appliance Provider) is a Taiwanese company that designs network attached storage, switches, routers and smart video hardware, and builds it in its own ISO certified factory. Its NAS ship with the QTS operating system and can be switched to QuTS hero, which replaces EXT4 with ZFS and adds WORM storage against data tampering. The App Center distributes the add-ons that turn a QNAP NAS into a Plex server, a QVR surveillance recorder or a Docker and virtual machine host.
