What the differences mean

A hub on the end of the cable

The Aqara Camera Hub G5 Pro PoE is not only a camera. It lists a Zigbee coordinator, a Thread border router and a Matter bridge, and it has no Wi-Fi of its own, only Ethernet with PoE. The Ring Outdoor Cam Plus is a Wi-Fi camera, dual-band, with a battery and optional wired power. It does not list any hub role. One box can run sensors. The other cannot.

Apple Home

Apple Home is listed on the Aqara Camera Hub G5 Pro PoE, with Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings and Home Assistant as well. The Ring Outdoor Cam Plus lists Alexa and Home Assistant only. If the household standard is the Home app, the Ring is the camera that does not appear there. Owners of the Aqara also say HomeKit caps the live stream at 1080p even though the camera lists 2K.

Local RTSP or Ring Protect

The Aqara records to microSD and lists RTSP, so a NAS can take 24/7 video without Ring. Cloud on the Aqara is still a subscription if you want that path. The Ring Outdoor Cam Plus has no card and no RTSP. History and the smarter alerts are subscription required. There is no local fallback.

Battery or a PoE switch

The Ring Outdoor Cam Plus can go up where you cannot pull cable, because it has a battery. Battery life is not published. The Aqara Camera Hub G5 Pro PoE cannot. It needs a PoE switch and a home run. That install is the price of the hub features, the light and the Apple Home listing. Weather is IP65 on the Aqara and a yes without an IP code on the Ring.
