Aeotec Z-Stick 10 Pro vs Smlight SLZB-06

The Smlight SLZB-06 is the more capable device overall. Its Ethernet, PoE and Wi-Fi connectivity let you place it centrally for better range, and it adds Zigbee router, Thread border router and Bluetooth proxy roles. The Aeotec Z-Stick 10 Pro is cheaper and uniquely adds a Z-Wave 800 controller, so it wins for Z-Wave users, but for a flexible, network-connected Zigbee coordinator the SLZB-06 leads.

How they connect and what protocols they cover. The SLZB-06 is a network coordinator (Ethernet, PoE and Wi-Fi) that also does Thread and Bluetooth proxy but no Z-Wave. The Aeotec Z-Stick 10 Pro is a USB-only stick that adds a Z-Wave 800 controller but has no Ethernet, PoE, Thread or Bluetooth proxy.

Buy the Smlight SLZB-06 if you want a network-connected Zigbee coordinator you can place centrally, with Thread and Bluetooth-proxy support, to stabilize a flaky Zigbee mesh in Home Assistant. Note PoE needs a PoE switch and it is Zigbee only.

Buy the Aeotec Z-Stick 10 Pro if you need Z-Wave and Zigbee together in one affordable USB stick and are happy plugging it into your Home Assistant host. It is the choice when Z-Wave support matters more than network placement.
