Chip and Thread. The Dongle Plus MG24 uses the newer EFR32MG24 and can flash into a Thread border router, while the ZBDongle-P uses the older but very well-supported TI CC2652P with no Thread. The MG24 is effectively the successor to the ZBDongle-P.

The Sonoff ZBDongle-P has a 2-year warranty, versus 1 year on the Sonoff Dongle Plus MG24. Both are Zigbee 3.0 coordinators that plug into a host running Home Assistant, ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT.
