Aqara Smart Video Doorbell G4 vs Ring Battery Doorbell Pro

For most buyers the Aqara Smart Video Doorbell G4 comes out ahead, thanks to a lower price, free local microSD recording plus 7 days of cloud, and Apple HomeKit support. The Ring Battery Doorbell Pro is the better-rated and more capable camera (1536p, color night vision, radar 3D motion), but every recording and smart alert needs a Ring Protect subscription.

Storage and fees. The G4 stores video on a microSD card with no subscription, while the Ring Battery Doorbell Pro has no local storage and requires Ring Protect to save or review any footage. The Aqara also adds HomeKit; the Ring stays in the Alexa and Ring ecosystem.
