The verdict

The EM06P is the middle of Refoss's range and arguably its most practical size: six independent channels rated 120 A each, which is double the current of the branch clamps on the sixteen-channel EM16P and enough to meter a heat pump, an EV charger, a mains feed and still have channels spare. Channels can be merged, so a three-phase load can be followed per phase and as a total. Like the rest of the range it runs locally through a built-in web UI, an open JSON-RPC API and MQTT, with free cloud storage keeping daily data for five years.

Who is the Refoss EM06P for?

Someone who does not need sixteen circuits but does need real current headroom on each one. Six channels at 120 A cover the heavy end of a house, a heat pump, an EV charger, an oven, a workshop feed, where the 50 A and 60 A branch clamps on bigger monitors run out of range. It also suits a three-phase installation: the channels can be merged so one three-phase appliance is reported per phase and as a single total.
