Beelink SER9 Pro Review: 4K at 240Hz From a Vapor-Chamber Mini PC
The Beelink SER9 Pro is the performance tier of the SER line without the flagship price. An eight-core, sixteen-thread Ryzen 7 H 255 boosting to 4.9GHz pairs with Radeon 780M graphics across twelve compute units, 24GB of LPDDR5X at 6400MT/s and dual M.2 PCIe 4.0 bays that reach 8TB combined. All three video outputs, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4 and full-featured USB4, run 4K at 240Hz, and the MSC 2.0 vapor chamber keeps a 65W processor near 32 decibels. The trade-off is memory: LPDDR5X is soldered, so 24GB is permanent.

Who is the Beelink SER9 Pro for?
It targets people who want desktop-class responsiveness in a machine the size of a sandwich. Eight Zen cores at up to 4.9GHz with Radeon 780M graphics handle photo and video work, code compilation, streaming and gaming at moderate settings, and the memory subsystem is the fast one, LPDDR5X at 6400MT/s rather than the DDR4 used by the cheaper SER models. The display capability is the real differentiator: three outputs that each drive 4K at 240Hz, which suits high-refresh monitors that most mini PCs cannot feed.
What the Beelink SER9 Pro offers
Cooling is engineered rather than assumed. The MSC 2.0 system combines a vapor chamber, a silent fan and a dedicated SSD heatsink, which the manufacturer rates at around 32 decibels even at a sustained 65W, and that matters in a machine this dense. Storage uses two M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 bays supporting up to 8TB in total, so the 1TB it ships with is a starting point. The USB4 port carries 40Gbps of bandwidth with Thunderbolt 3 compatibility, power delivery and DisplayPort 1.4, so one cable can serve a dock. It also includes built-in speakers and a microphone, plus dual 3.5 mm jacks on the front and rear, which most competitors omit, alongside 2.5G Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.
What to know before you buy
Memory is soldered LPDDR5X, so the 24GB cannot be increased later. That is the price of the bandwidth, and it means buying for the workload you expect to run for the life of the machine. There is no NPU, so this is not the model to pick for on-device AI acceleration, and the Radeon 780M, while capable, is still integrated graphics rather than a discrete card. There is no SD card reader, no fingerprint sensor and no Kensington lock slot, and the box contains no VESA mount, only the machine, an HDMI cable, the power adapter and the manual.
Is the Beelink SER9 Pro worth it?
For a compact machine that must feel fast and stay quiet, it is well specified. Eight modern cores, fast soldered memory, two PCIe 4.0 drive bays, USB4 and three 240Hz-capable outputs cover most of what a small workstation needs, and the vapor chamber addresses the noise problem that usually comes with this much performance in this little space. Buyers who need upgradeable memory should look at socketed DDR5 models instead, and anyone chasing serious gaming still needs a discrete GPU.
Frequently asked questions
Can the Beelink SER9 Pro memory be upgraded?
No. It uses 24GB of soldered LPDDR5X at 6400MT/s, which gives high bandwidth but cannot be changed after purchase.
How many monitors can the Beelink SER9 Pro drive?
Three, through HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4 and the USB4 Type-C port, with each output capable of 4K at 240Hz.
Does the Beelink SER9 Pro support Thunderbolt docks?
Its USB4 port is full-featured at 40Gbps with Thunderbolt 3 compatibility, power delivery and DisplayPort 1.4, so it works with most single-cable docks.
How much storage can the Beelink SER9 Pro hold?
Up to 8TB, using two M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 bays of 4TB each. It ships with a 1TB drive installed.
Is the Beelink SER9 Pro noisy under load?
It is designed not to be. The MSC 2.0 cooling system pairs a vapor chamber with a silent fan and an SSD heatsink, rated at around 32 decibels even at a sustained 65W output.
