2026 verdict
Both machines run the same 8-core Ryzen 9 tier of chip, but the Geekom A8 Max (Ryzen 9) pulls ahead of the Geekom A7 Max (Ryzen 9) with a higher owner rating and double the memory and storage capacity, 32GB and 2TB against 16GB and 1TB.
The Geekom A7 Max (Ryzen 9) is the more affordable of the two, which is its only advantage in this matchup. Both share the same DDR5 memory type and speed, dual USB4 ports, dual HDMI outputs and a 3 year warranty, so the newer A8 Max is essentially a memory and storage upgrade on the same platform rather than a different machine. Buyers who need more RAM and storage should pick the Geekom A8 Max (Ryzen 9); buyers happy with 16GB and 1TB should save money with the Geekom A7 Max (Ryzen 9).
