2026 verdict
One brand, two generations: the GMKtec NucBox M6 Ultra (32GB + 1TB) beats the GMKtec NucBox M5 Ultra (32GB + 512GB) with a higher owner rating, newer DDR5 memory running at 4800 MT/s instead of DDR4-3200, and double the storage at 1TB.
The GMKtec NucBox M5 Ultra (32GB + 512GB) only wins on price, so the choice largely comes down to budget versus platform generation.
