As an indoor motion sensor, the Philips Hue Motion Sensor comes out ahead of the Arlo All-in-One Sensor, backed by a higher owner rating, a longer warranty, wider platform support and a longer detection range.
Both pack the same trio of sensors, motion, ambient light and temperature, into a small battery-powered body, so neither out-senses the other there, but the Philips Hue Motion Sensor reaches Apple HomeKit, Samsung SmartThings and Matter (via the Hue Bridge) on top of Google Home and Alexa, platforms the Arlo All-in-One Sensor simply does not support. The Arlo All-in-One Sensor answers with a friendlier price, and like the Philips Hue Motion Sensor it cannot work standalone, Arlo needs a compatible Arlo Security System hub or keypad since it carries no Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, Z-Wave or Thread radio, while Hue needs its own Bridge.
