Meross Smart Presence Sensor wins with its lower price, higher owner rating, hub-free Wi-Fi with native Matter, and a built-in light sensor. Aqara Presence Sensor FP1E counters with a wider 120° detection angle, IFTTT support and its role as a Zigbee router, but requires an Aqara hub.

Hub dependence. The Meross connects straight to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and speaks Matter natively, so HomeKit, Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings and Home Assistant see it without extra hardware. The Aqara is a Zigbee sensor that needs an Aqara hub for those same platforms, gaining mesh-extending router duty in return.

Both combine radar-based presence sensing that keeps rooms marked occupied while you sit still, reaching about 6m.
