The Aqara Single Switch Module T1 (With Neutral) is better overall for single-circuit use, being cheaper and adding HomeKit, IFTTT and Matter support plus power-off memory and a Zigbee router. The Shelly Plus 2PM wins if you need two channels, shutter automation or a 3-year warranty.

The Shelly Plus 2PM is a dual-channel relay with cover mode for shutters, while the Aqara is single-channel. The Aqara also reaches more platforms, adding HomeKit, IFTTT and Matter, whereas the Plus 2PM is Wi-Fi and Bluetooth only with no HomeKit or Matter.

Only the Aqara Single Switch Module T1 (With Neutral), through its Aqara hub, which also adds IFTTT. The Shelly Plus 2PM works with Google Home, Alexa, SmartThings and Home Assistant over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, but it does not support HomeKit or Matter.

Both include energy monitoring, but only the Shelly Plus 2PM can automate roller shutters, curtains and garage doors thanks to its two channels and interlock/cover mode. The Aqara Single Switch Module T1 (With Neutral) is single-channel and cannot drive a bi-directional motor on its own.

Buy it if you only need one circuit and want the cheaper metered module with HomeKit, IFTTT and Matter support, power-off memory and a Zigbee router, inside a Zigbee or Aqara ecosystem.
