Owners of both Shelly modules agree the metering is accurate and that Home Assistant picks them up almost immediately. Shelly 1PM Gen4 owners use the readings to automate what they measure, power-cycling a furnace, running a dehumidifier or keeping a wall tablet's battery between two levels, and they like the Zigbee repeater role; their complaints are an unconventional, poorly drawn wiring diagram and radio switching by button presses that needs a firm touch. Shelly PM Mini Gen3 owners watch washing machines, dryers and caravan hookups and value it as a Shelly BLU gateway, while they warn that it cannot switch anything, that its terminals suit lighter cables and that Shelly's naming led some to order the wrong model.
