Mopping is the clearest reason to pick the Dreame D30 Ultra CE over the Shark PowerDetect Self-Empty: the Shark is vacuum only, with no water tank or mop function at all, while the Dreame D30 Ultra CE mops and its dock washes and dries the pads automatically. The Dreame D30 Ultra CE also holds more debris in its onboard bin, typically costs less, runs longer per charge, and carries a three-year warranty against one year on the Shark PowerDetect Self-Empty. The Shark PowerDetect Self-Empty's own strengths, per its reviews, are lifting itself over thresholds and rug edges and resisting getting stuck, which matter if your floors are full of low furniture and cables. For anyone who wants vacuuming and mopping from one machine, the Dreame D30 Ultra CE is the stronger buy.
