The iRobot Roomba 105X's only advantage is price, which suits buyers who want the cheapest route into mapped vacuuming.

The biggest structural difference is the Eufy E28's detachable deep-cleaning handheld, which lifts out of its dock for hand-cleaning upholstery, stairs and car interiors, work neither robot can do on its own. The iRobot Roomba 105X is a vacuum-only robot with no mop, no detachable cleaner and no self-emptying dock, so its bin has to be emptied by hand.

Buyers who want one purchase to cover automated daily vacuuming and mopping, plus occasional hand-cleaning of stairs, sofas or car seats, should choose the Eufy E28, especially in homes with pets, carpet or upholstery that needs regular spot-cleaning.

Buyers who only need dependable, room-specific vacuuming and are comfortable emptying the bin by hand and skipping mopping entirely should choose the iRobot Roomba 105X, which costs less than the Eufy E28.
