The Roomba Max 705 costs less, runs longer per charge, and connects to more smart home platforms, adding Apple HomeKit, Samsung SmartThings and Matter to Google Home, Alexa and Home Assistant. The Shark Stratos NeverTouch RV2720ZE counters with the one thing the Roomba Max 705 doesn't have at all: mopping, with automatic pad washing and drying built into its dock. Both self-empty and rely on LiDAR mapping with no-go zones. Buyers who want mopping in the same machine should pick the Shark Stratos NeverTouch RV2720ZE; those who only need vacuuming, longer runtime and broader platform support should choose the iRobot Roomba Max 705.
