2026 verdict
Asus RT-BE88U is the more complete option versus Ubiquiti UniFi Dream Router 7 in 2026, helped most by warranty, LAN port count, and LAN 2.5 gbps RJ45 ports.
The main reason it wins is warranty, LAN port count, and LAN 2.5 gbps RJ45 ports, and USB storage and VPN strengthen that case. The only strong reason to choose Ubiquiti UniFi Dream Router 7 is if price, rating, and Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) are more important to you than the overall verdict. That is enough to make Asus RT-BE88U the better pick for most buyers.
