2026 verdict
For most buyers in 2026, Google Nest WiFi Pro is the safer pick over Ubiquiti Cloud Gateway Ultra because of Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax), mesh Wi-Fi, and WPA3 encryption.
It separates itself most clearly on Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax), mesh Wi-Fi, and WPA3 encryption, while still looking better on smart home protocols. Choose Ubiquiti Cloud Gateway Ultra only if rating, LAN port count, and WAN & failover matter more to you than the broader advantage from Google Nest WiFi Pro. That keeps the verdict firmly in favor of Google Nest WiFi Pro.
