2026 verdict
For a large home moving to Wi-Fi 7 mesh, the
TP-Link Deco BE77 is the stronger of these two TP-Link Deco systems.
It wins on the better owner rating and on Wi-Fi speed, with ten internal antennas and more throughput, especially on the 6 GHz band, plus a 10G RJ45 or SFP+ combo port for multi-gig backhaul. The
TP-Link Deco BE67 is the more affordable system, and it is no slouch: tri-band Wi-Fi 7, a 10G port of its own, eight antennas, a dedicated IoT network and the full Deco VPN suite. Both use TP-Link's own mesh standard and neither adds a Thread border router or Matter controller. Pick the
TP-Link Deco BE77 for the fastest, most future-proof mesh in a large or multi-floor home, and the
TP-Link Deco BE67 if you want most of that for less.
What owners say
Owners of both Deco systems describe the same easy start: the Deco app walks them through it, and both groups report speed holding up across large, multi-storey homes. TP-Link Deco BE77 owners go further on coverage and roaming, praise the 10G and 2.5G ports and the IoT network, and several rate it a clear upgrade from Eero or older Deco gear, though some hit MLO instability with the newest Apple devices and find the app hides advanced controls. TP-Link Deco BE67 owners highlight stability on multi-gig fibre and the tri-band throughput, and their complaints cluster on satellite pairing with certain devices and a fiddly process for swapping the main unit.
Upgrading from the TP-Link Deco BE67?
Moving up from the TP-Link Deco BE67 to the TP-Link Deco BE77 buys more antennas, higher 6 GHz throughput, a faster combined rating and a 10G RJ45 or SFP+ combo port, while both keep the same Deco app, the same IoT and guest networks, the same VPN suite and the same two-year warranty. If the TP-Link Deco BE67 already covers your home and keeps up with your internet plan, there is little to gain. If you are chasing the fastest wireless throughput or plan to wire a multi-gig backhaul, the TP-Link Deco BE77 is the step up that gets you there.
