Amazon Echo Studio vs Google Nest Audio

As a smart speaker and voice assistant the Amazon Echo Studio is the better device, with larger sound and a built-in Zigbee, Thread and Matter hub. The Google Nest Audio is the better value for a Google Home, since it costs less, carries a one-year warranty and can process some commands on the device.

The hub and the ecosystem. The Amazon Echo Studio runs Alexa and is a Zigbee coordinator, Thread border router and Matter bridge, while the Google Nest Audio runs Google Assistant and is only a Matter bridge with an on-device conversation agent.

It has a local conversation agent, so some commands can be handled on the device, while speech recognition and speech synthesis still use the cloud. The Amazon Echo Studio runs all of its voice processing in the cloud.
