A venetian blind tilts horizontal slats instead of rising, so a motor on one usually turns the slats rather than lifting the stack.

It is the first thing to check, because the shapes are not interchangeable: a curtain driver does nothing for a venetian blind, and a tilt motor does nothing for a curtain.
